Where on the Welsh border were Roman troops stationed and are there historical remains?

A strong presence here in the South East, especially around Caerleon,Caerwent and down by Severn. And yes...plenty of visible remains.

Roman Remains
-Portskewett
There is some evidence of a Roman villa, with possible British Iron Age antecedents. There are also remains of a late Roman temple on Portskewett Hill, and many coins of the 3rd and 4th centuries have been found.

Caerwent-a temple.
