@emiliya I don't know honestly. I just found this out recently lol. Their reason was because they wanted to fight the Russians.
My great grandfather's brother was in the Austro-Hungarian army. So I wasn't too surprised. I actually have a family portrait, where his bother is wearing his Hussar uniform.

It was a good place. Then Reagan doublecrossed the USSR and Ukraine was attacked and almost destroyed.
