About Faculty
The mission of the faculty is to promote the sustainable development of the country and the region in general, to meet the needs of the population in quality educational services; training of competitive specialists for the economy; active participation in the personal development of a person, his upbringing and improvement of abilities, formation of professional competences.
The purpose of the faculty's activity is to teach and educate young people, to provide high-quality educational services necessary for society; to develop the existing potential of the participants of the educational and scientific process, their creative abilities, active social and civic position.
The task of the faculty is to ensure the high-quality educational activities of students of higher education in compliance with strict conditions; the development of scientific research and the transfer of technologies and innovations to the real sector of the economy; integration into the world market of education and science.
Awards and recognition
The Faculty of Design of KNUTD has a long history of training designers in various fields (fashion design, graphic design, multimedia design, environmental design, etc.). This is a well-known school of art and design in Ukraine and the world, which teachs students in the fields of drawing, coloristic, composition, shape creation, projecting design objects, graphic design, computer technologies, etc.
Since 2024, the Faculty of Design has been a member of the ELIA community – the European League of Art Education Institutions. ELIA is a global European network that provides a dynamic platform for the exchange and development of higher art education, representing more than 300,000 students from more than 285 universities in 52 countries of the world in various fields of art and design.
In 2021, the Faculty of Design of KNUTD joined the Cumulus International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media. Cumulus is the only global association focused on education and research in the field of art and design, which currently consists of 360 members from 63 countries.
