Coming to Germany 🇩🇪
After the invasion and the criminal acts of so many Russian soldiers who must have thought they could do anything they wanted from theft to rape and murder I was first taken to Lviv, then to Prague and now I am in Germany, in Berlin.
I have been trying to raise funds for my family who have been fighting. My boyfriend was killed last year two weeks before my father was killed, and now my brother has received another wounding from being caught in his trench by a drone. He has several injuries from being shot, a grenade strike when he was almost shielded by another soldier who was killed, and a bayonet wound from hand to hand fighting.
There are women soldiers but they are often not treated with any humanity if caught by the enemy troops. The Russians really are barbarous just like they were in the Soviet war against the Afghans, and during the Patriotic War against the Nazis.
I have heard so many stories about this war that pales those other wars in comparison. I think it’s true what the old people say about what they did in Ukraine as they steamrolled the Nazi, Fascist and Romanian forces that were on this part of the front during the conflict in 1944 and 1945. They truly are barbarians.
So, my life in Berlin has a comparison to those Ukrainian people who fought against the Soviets during the Patriotic War except I am not a traitor to my people or homeland. Living in exile is not quite the same since I am able to travel back to Kyiv and find a besieged city under constant threat from the skies. I obey my father who told me to stay safe until the war is over.
