Someone said, because in theory, if the US has investment in Ukraine, then the US will have a reason to defend Ukraine from Russia.
I understand the theory, but I'm not sure anyone can trust Trump to stand up to Putin other than whiney tweets.
One is trying to work with him, and he keeps attacking them, while the other is using him like a dog, and he protects them.

@sstronaut The classic reason for the US to "invest" in places like the Ukraine was to cost Russia money, materials and personel abd thereby weaken it.. Of course. When you owe Putin billions you dont want to p*$$ him off. Do you? Maybe just call him a naughty boy and threaten to smack his hand...Just to keep the proles quiet..😷
