Making Russia retake its own territory is a wonderful F-U to Putin, and not a bad strategy, either.

Russian resources will need to be diverted from other areas to retake areas now controlled by Ukraine. As such, Ukraine gains some measure of “control” over where the fighting occurs.

I also applaud Ukraine for not being so damn afraid of what Putin will do, like the rest of the West.
