The land of Ukraine has been soaked with the blood of many, many German tank crews in the 1940s. I find it concerning that it may be the case again. I wonder if they were still serving members of the German Army, or "contractors" so as to give the NATO so (un)plausible deniability?

If in fact what the Russians assert re the crew being German military, that is not a good thing. But there is that “ fog of war” where the truth is the first casualty.

@soar2newhighs It has been reported in several places around the world. I hate to say that I believe the report may be true. The Russian MOD tends to be a lot more honest than the US.

@soar2newhighs The entire war is a crisis for Russia. Sadly it is a completely pointless war. There is no need and indeed there would not be any war if America had a legitimate government. Why is it in Ukraine starting a stupid war? Germany is being a good member of NATO and sadly enough an entire tank crew was killed. We know the US is helping Ukraine target the naval yard in Crimea.
