The complex manager appeared at my door to deliver an unexpected Thanksgiving dinner. It wasn’t needed, but it was a gracious and generous and thoughtful gesture.

I returned thanks and gratitude.

Back in my apartment I decided to field test the turkey. I plucked a piece of turkey from the meal. It was just this side of a turkey popsicle.

So I quit cold turkey.
