It was intolerance and overreaction from Turkish authorities for deporting a footballer for a non-violent symbolic gesture.It was a chilling message to other players of his football club showing political expression.Many saw it as spilling over of political tensions between Turkey and Israel .

The player , Sahiv Yehezkel is back playing in the Israeli Premier League with Macabi Tel Aviv.
I never understood why he went to play in Turkey in the first cade , what with Turkey being so Anti Israel even before October 7th and always openly supporting Hamas
