If you could create your own perfect romantic date what would it be ?

For a romantic dinner, I’d choose a quiet, intimate space—maybe a cozy corner of a charming restaurant, a rooftop overlooking the city at twilight, or even a candlelit spot in a garden or my own living room transformed into a personal sanctuary. The lighting would be soft, with candles or fairy lights casting a warm glow, and gentle music playing in the background—something soulful and artistic, like classical melodies, soft jazz, or acoustic renditions of favorite songs.

The meal would be thoughtful and comforting, tailored to my tastes. I’d savor something like a gourmet pasta dish, delicate sushi, or a rich vegetarian meal, paired with a glass of wine or a handcrafted mocktail for a creative touch. For dessert, I’d love to share something indulgent, like a molten lava cake or an artfully plated tiramisu, ending the evening on a sweet note.

To make the experience even more meaningful, I’d add personal touches—a handwritten poem or thoughtful note left at my seat, something simple but heartfelt. I might incorporate art into the evening by dining at a gallery cafe, enjoying a live musician, or even just talking about favorite pieces of art or poetry. And throughout the evening, I’d want to feel a sense of balance: moments of meaningful conversation paired with quiet, comfortable pauses. It’s important to me that any time spent together honors my need for peace while still feeling connected and cherished.

Perfect ?

Hmmmm, geez, that's not easy.
I have to pick favorites?

Ok.... here we go:

Meet for lunch at a local artisan market. Fresh homemade finger food to snack on as we walk around and talk and look at stuff. Maybe buy food for dinner later on....a bottle of something sweet for after dinner like spiced cider or mead or something.

Then something stunning like a gondola ride up a mountain, or a walk on an air walk through Virgin forest.
Or even a walk through a vibrant city in the evening with all the lights and buskers.

Stop at some dinky old vintage pub for local beer , then onto a remote glamping site with a personal outside Roman bath and a fire.
To end in a luxury cabin/tent/small dome with glass roof to watch the stars, or preferably an Aurora.

And then it rains for the rest of the night.

All sights, sounds and feels to intitiate good conversation and actually connect, with no people invading our space and enjoyment.
@OogieBoogie this my kind date Oogie. perfection
@Bexsy im not suprised.🤗

I dont really like restaurants. Sitting in a crowded area, having waiters always going by, and sitting across from someone - expecting conversation to hapoen ....it just seems too unnatural and forced.
I know what happens to me then - my extrovert side kicks in and im not truly myself.

I like the idea of making it more relaxed. Having other things around to stimulate ideas, opinions, memories that then naturally let conversation flow.

And also allow for silence.
We dont always want or need to be talking.
I think that's important.

@OogieBoogie I appreciate that so much. You're very kind. 🤗
Playing arcades and goofing around, then a stroll through the cemetery in silence holding each other.

@MarbleMarvel Now that is a date.

@MarbleMarvel I love walking in the cemetery so I agree with you there.
It'd end up in one of those glass walled cabins with a view of the northern lights.
@OogieBoogie yeah. it could work well in many places. I wonder if it'd be feasible to make a folding trailer version of it that you could drag around to various places. which reminds me of a story from long ago where things lined up very well one night.
@dirge 😅....i wont ask....😏😉
@OogieBoogie probably best.

a light dinner, a walk in a well-kept park, and lots of naked cuddling in public (:
A walk through the city at dusk then a quiet corner in a bar
