I'm currently in line to vote in the national South African election.

I am so grateful to all the people who fought for my right to vote. Here I am, a black woman, living in the suburbs and standing in line with white people. Just 31 years ago none of this would've been an option to me.

I hate the ruling party with everything in me and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they rigged the election in their favor. All I can do is use my vote to try and minimize their power.
