A Secret Millionaire Hides a Kilt Somewhere in Scotland, Finder to Inherit Their Entire Fortune in Search Dubbed “The Kiltoris”

A mysterious Scottish millionaire has reportedly hidden a single kilt somewhere in Scotland, announcing that whoever manages to find it will inherit their entire fortune, including millions of pounds, several castles and a championship winning team of racing haggis.

There is, however, one fairly significant problem.

There are absolutely no clues as to where it is.

The eccentric millionaire, whose identity remains a closely guarded secret, has revealed only the appearance of the elusive kilt. The specially commissioned garment is said to feature two large curved outer sections of pinkish and red tartan, surrounding several softer overlapping folds that narrow towards the centre, with a small rounded button like feature sitting at the very top where everything meets.

The millionaire insists the design should be instantly recognisable, although he admitted that describing its appearance to men may have somewhat defeated the purpose of providing a description in the first place.

To avoid potential fakes being made, the original will have a small embroidered haggis above the left hand pleat and the secret millionaire's initials stitched discreetly amongst the fabric.

It could apparently be anywhere in Scotland, hidden up a mountain, underneath a bridge, behind a pub, inside a castle, halfway across a glen or sitting directly in front of somebody who has already spent three days searching everywhere else.

The millionaire has officially named the nationwide treasure hunt “The Kiltoris,” describing it as “something everybody wants to find, but very few people actually know where to start looking.”

They added “The Kiltoris is out there somewhere. I can assure you it exists. But finding it requires patience, determination, careful attention and, above all else, a willingness to admit when you have absolutely no idea where you're going.”

Asked whether any additional clues would eventually be released, the millionaire reportedly laughed and replied,

“No. That would make finding the Kiltoris far too easy. Although judging by previous attempts, I suspect some people could be given a map, GPS coordinates and someone pointing directly at it and they'd still somehow miss it.”

The prize has already sparked huge interest after it was confirmed that the successful finder will inherit the millionaire's complete estate, including several Scottish castles, an undisclosed fortune believed to run into the tens of millions and, perhaps most valuable of all, their entire stable of cup winning racing haggis.

The haggis team has reportedly won numerous prestigious events over the years, including the Highland Haggis Derby, the Glen Coe 500 and the notoriously demanding Six Nations Haggis Steeplechase, although several are understood to have drinking problems and one has been disqualified twice for biting competitors.

Millions of Scots are now expected to begin searching across Scotland for the legendary garment, with experts predicting many participants will spend hours wandering around aimlessly, repeatedly insisting they're “definitely getting close.”

The millionaire remains confident the fortune is safe.
