E is all that's needed for a length of Title

TWO HAGGIS SCALE THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING TO SETTLE THE GREAT WHISKY DEBATE

New York officials have been left scratching their heads after two wild Highland haggis, who still seem to be in America, were spotted scaling the lightning spire at the very top of the Empire State Building before unfurling a giant flag carrying a message aimed squarely at the world's whisky drinkers.

The pair were filmed scrambling effortlessly around the summit before somehow securing a traffic cone to the very tip of the famous spire.
With the cone safely in place, the haggis hoisted a huge black flag featuring a bottle of Scotch whisky alongside the now viral slogan,

"Real whisky doesn't have an E in it."

Emergency services briefly considered retrieving the pair, but quickly abandoned the idea after one officer reportedly remarked, "If they've climbed all the way up there carrying a traffic cone and a flag, they're probably better climbers than we are."

Within minutes, the display had sparked fierce debate online, with Scots applauding the message while Americans insisted the extra "e" wasn't going anywhere.

A spokesperson for the Empire State Building refused to comment on the spelling dispute but confirmed staff were "looking into how a traffic cone ended up on top of one of the world's most famous buildings."

The haggis themselves vanished before anyone could reach the summit, leaving behind nothing more than tiny paw prints, a perfectly positioned cone... and yet another reminder to America of the correct spelling of whisky.

Brilliant! Mind you, neither @sarabee1995 nor @Stephie would know what real whisky is! 😸

@Yulianna yes and it keeps the sailor and boat in pristine condition 🤭

Happy 4th. of July you sailors and captains. Full speed ahead into the wild blue yonder

@Stephie "Into the wild blue yonder" would be more appropriate for my air force brethren. Those of us in the sea services use "fair winds and following seas!"

@sarabee1995 I had the feeling you were going to make a comment on that one 🤔

As an aftermath of that bold move by Scottish Haggi (plural of Haggis) to educate the New York populace and the entire world about the correct spelling of the Whisky, the "key" element, namely the letter "e" has launched a debate among the officials of the Empire State building.

They were so offended that Haggi were apparently able to perform that feat that they wdecided unanimously that the letter "E" should be removed at once from the name of that venerable building.

As of now, the grand old lady is simply called the Mpir Stat building.
@Stephie Thank goodness for that, I would have been awake all night worrying.

@Mindfulness good thing that there are still people here that know how to spell 🤭
@Stephie There are? I hope they don't pay too much attention to my posts! 😅
