@Loretta78: I like to see all these varied answers. It's interesting how people give different answers based on their experiences and mindset. Orthodox religion didn't even cross my mind until you mentioned it. You are right though, orthodox religion does happen there.

My answer would be :
AK47 and RPG7, Nikola Tesla and electricity, the colour red and the fact that they assisted previously oppressed Black people in S.Africa to achieve independence. Oh and really cold weather. ,:-)

@billstickers: I met one of them once during the course of my work. She had been rejected by a prospective husband and was being sent back to Russia. She spoke English very well and was very attractive.

@Efilnikufesin: How long did you work there and what did you like most and dislike most about the place ?

@Wraithorn: I was there for a three week project for an oil corporation. Started and ended in Moscow, and hitting a few different spots in Siberia. The thing I disliked most was not being able to speak the language. Otherwise it was a fantastic experience. Enjoyed our Russian counterparts, they were a lot of fun to work with.
