Aw I just found out the owners of this hotel are Palestinian.
I was talking to the Moroccan girl working behind the bar when some 6 year old kid came from behind the door. She picked her up so she could sit on the bar. The 6 year old saw my bracelet and whispers something to the girl. I ask her what she said.
"She said she likes your bracelet"
So I take it off and show it to the kid, she didn't know any English but I was like "you wanna see it properly?" she points at the Palestinian flag on it, puts her thumbs up, smiles and says "good"
The Moroccan girl then explains how she's Palestinian. I had to ask if the kid was there during the 'conflict'. Thankfully she wasn't. I've seen this kid around quite a bit and she's definitely cheeky. She's still got the spark all children should have.
