Celtic fans have a history of supporting terrorism. This is the new fad.

‘Mon the Rangers
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@thatscottishguy You disappoint me. I thought me shit-stirring was subtle.
@WintaTheAngle The is the team whos fans were brandishing nazi flags a couple of weeks ago right?

@Spoiledbrat It's complicated but the short answer is no.

At various stages there have been two state solutions offered to Palestinians that have been refused. However, they were refused because they were (of their time) bad deals for the Palestinians.

There were also the Oslo accords of the 90s which were supposed to oath the way for a two state solution. Arafat came under heavy criticism from his own side because it gave a way a lot.

In any case, Israel has kept building settlements on the west bank since which, is in clear breach of the agreement and also makes a future two states much harder. How can Palestinians have a state in amongst armed Israeli settlers who control much of the infrastructure?

The history is complicated and this is the shorthand summary.

However, if anyone says that Palestinians turned down the chance of a two state solution because they weren't prepared to accept any Jewish state, this is false. At least for most Palestinians and their leaders.

Very interesting post and it's nice to see that people aren't straying from the experiences of their past and are being honest. That's a big irony with Israel, made up of people who have endured tons of persecution, yet they have little reservation in persecuting others.

Suella Braverman seems to be a pretty special person. From what I've seen, she says multiculturalism is a failure, yet she's the literal face of having multiple cultures in a country

There are plenty of Scots who regard Scotland as colonised by the English, so that might reinforce the feelings, too.

And .. oh, a soccer game ends in a draw, what a shock 🤪
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@firefall NZ did in three times to be the one unbeaten team in a WC.
Wasn't there supposed to be two states ? Why doesn't Palestine become their own state. I read somewhere that it was suggested but the Palestinians refuse to share.

Can't wait to see the size of fine we get for this one 😂
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@thatscottishguy If they fine you per flag, the club will be bankrupt. 😜
thatscottishguy · 26-30, M
@Burnley123 Club put out a statement beforehand saying please don't bring flags of either side. Think they hope that'll help them dodge it
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@thatscottishguy The fine will probably be a few hundred grand
just gonna throw this in here...i'm a whitecaps supporter (mls football...or soccer as we call it across the pond) ryan gauld is a scottish national and is one of our best players...great player!
@Burnley123 he's a beast...even though he missed 2 penalty kicks against lafc in the last game of the season...lol. he scored on every single one in previous matches..now we are heading into the playoffs and we play lafc in a best of 3 series...i'll be going to the match when they are here. we are in la saturday and they come here the following sunday.... mls sure isn't epl or bundes league etc but it's miles better than what it used to be. try and check it out if you can.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M

Because the Scottish rock! 🥔🇵🇸
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@BittersweetPotato As do the Irish
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@Burnley123 I disagree with the Irish on their position from potatoes but other than that, I agree 🥔😚
Harry121 · M
Yes my history teacher said that you see so many palestinian flags in Scottish nationalist venues, republic areas of northern ireland and southern Ireland because of a shared empathy for the sectarian violence shared across all of them
malizz · 70-79, M
@Harry121 Of course many Celtic fans or their family come from these areas. Unfortunately for Celtic, the football authorities take a dim view of such posturing which may result in heavy fines for the club. From a political perspective it is understandable.

@Max312 Are you trolling or clueless?
firefall · 61-69, M
@Burnley123 it has to be one or the other ?
Scotland also has a history of having been occupied ?
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@bijouxbroussard Not really but Ireland does. Celtic is as much of an Irish club as a Scottish one.

Maybe I didn't explain it well but they were founded by immigrants from Ireland in Glasgow.
@Burnley123 Ok, that fits.
