A North Korean Woman experience the dollar store in the U.S for the first time. Why am I posting this?
I think there is little misunderstanding between the prices and qualities.
Where Dollar Store hold most of expired snacks. drinks. small portions and cheap food and cans.
She was amazed not only the prices, but the Items as well. Like she was shopping when dreams comes true.
What she doesn't realize?
Unfortunately, in North Korea, not every stores cost a 1.25.
However, there are good Quality brands that are cheap too... especially some are lower than a 1.25.
Yeah, North is not perfect in quality in certain areas since it's from foreign poor process by cutting coners for less cost. Sounds like China. The Dollar Store get those too.
North Korea does produce they're own brands for any convenience stores too, it is proven they do have decent qualities than the Dollar Store, because our U.S Corporate CEO's are greedy scums.
That's the credit I give for North Korea.
I'm not trying to diss the dollars store since I go there too, but that's kind of the truth.
You can even do research from russian tourists shopping there and, see pretty decent qualities and cheaper prices in North Korea.
Like you get a bag of hot cheetos in North Korea can cost you a dollar, not sure how much is that in foreign currency? they're not real anyways.
You can only buy a smell bag of hot cheetos "Expired" for a 1.25. at the dollar store.
Where I'm at in the western U.S? In Farmers Market for a bag is 5.69.
On special sales 3.69.
You gotta give them some credit.
That tells us we need to wake the F up if we want decent qualities.
