What's wrong with parliament members representing their constituents? Isn't that their sole role?

@NerdyPotato Yes. I'm not claiming it's wrong. But it's still embarrassing. Lol. If they want to do silly things to lose votes, that's on them.

@VeganYogi doing their job is embarrassing? 🤔
VeganYogi · 31-35
@NerdyPotato I suppose if most of the voters (for that small party) wanted them to treat parliament like an LGBT fashion show and challenge the beautiful gender norms that I adore, then they are doing their job. I guess I shouldn't be embarrassed because it doesn't have anything to do with me, or most voters :)

@VeganYogi oh, I thought he was wearing a traditional outfit of his people. I didn't know he was mocking the LGBTQ+ community. That I would be embarrassed about too.

@NerdyPotato Maori traditional attire for men is just a flax skirt, and a feather coat if it's cold. And that's not considered business attire so wouldn't be accepted in Parliament. But to be honest, I'd much rather see him dressed as a traditional Maori male in Parliament than this hybrid they/them thing...
