Cost of vegetables in New Zealand

Due to recent natural disasters in New Zealand. The cost vegetables are expensive. Like avocado are $5.50 for one not kidding or joking. Even worse for kumara $13 per KG. When I saw those prices. Thought no not paying that. No thank you.

Lucky to find avos. My New World hasn't had them for a fortnight, and the week prior to that there wasn't a ripe one in the store.
