Cost of vegetables in New Zealand

Due to recent natural disasters in New Zealand. The cost vegetables are expensive. Like avocado are $5.50 for one not kidding or joking. Even worse for kumara $13 per KG. When I saw those prices. Thought no not paying that. No thank you.

Currently One Avocado is around $1.50-$1.80 and Sweet Potatoes about $2/Kg (on special) in Australia.

@Wizardry Avocado season. 🥑 has started. I don't think they start until August in Aotearoa.
