A Sunday walk in the Prati, Rome
Prati is uniquely pleasant for a Sunday walk because its 19th-century grid layout features wide, non-cobbled sidewalks and far fewer crushing crowds than the historic center. Many local shops are closed on Sundays, which keeps the neighborhood quiet and relaxed—perfect for an unhurried morning espresso at a local cafe followed by a scenic approach to the Tiber River.
We live a short distance from my parents house and an equidistant walk from our Church. We almost always walk to Church, and to my parents house afterwards. The weather is never a problem despite the change of the year, and we can collect an umbrella if needed for the walk.
