Is life ever really simple?

My father has enjoyed a successful career with the Caribinieri, and now works with the interior ministry in Rome. We moved to Rome when I was nineteen. I went to university at Sapienza, both my parents were at Palermo and my brother went to Sapienza too. My mother works with the ministry of education, in a different kind of role.
My brother is very active in the defence of Europe in the Italian airforce and I work in the media as a marketing director.

We have a good life in the city, but of the four of us only my Mama is not armed twenty-four-seven. She prefers not to carry a gun. The city has changed in many ways and there are unseen agents undermining our republic, maybe Russians certainly Iranians! Our government has made assertions about the American war against Iran 🇮🇷 and that could make us a target more than we were before hand.

Life is not simple anymore.
