Via del Corso
This is Rome's main thoroughfare, which cuts through the length of the city from the Piazza Venezia in the south to the Piazza del Popolo in the north.
Long straight street with lots of shops. But you should set aside a whole day for walking along this street, as almost all the main tourist attractions are along this street, so you can combine shopping with exploring churches, fountains, squares. There are signs everywhere - turned aside a few tens of meters and here is the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, Plaza de España, magnificent churches, only better to plan the route in advance. I used to do it in my gut on my first visit to Rome. There are also restaurants for every taste and wallet in the side streets. There's only one major drawback to this street - too many people.
