In case you wanted to know!

In Italy, oral contraceptives, including the birth control pill, require a medical prescription and are categorized as "C" by the Italian Pharmaceutical Agency. While not generally free, some Italian regions provide free or subsidized access to oral contraceptives, often for specific groups like young women, those who have had abortions, or those with income exemptions. Emergency contraception (the morning-after pill) is available over-the-counter at pharmacies without a prescription.

I think that I have reached an age at which I do not need this advice when I visit Italy !

Good the Italian government doesn't let the Vatican dictate public policy.

@Crazywaterspring Why is this so important to you to say?
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@Ximenajacoba Extremely conservative protestant cults dictate government policy in many US states. Much of that coincides with Catholic doctrine, like availability of abortion and some methods of birth control.

The wall between church and state is being dismantled.
