One little flaw...

Michelangelo’s David statue was unveiled in Florence, Italy, on September 8, 1504. The sculptor took what was considered a flawed piece of marble. It's 17 feet tall, & yet, the figure seem small, amost human. It's amazing. It was outdoors, until the statue was moved into the Galleria Academica. I visited it in 1980 while on all May Seminar of Concordia College, Moorhead, MN. One thing puzzled me, & I have never found an explanation. This historic figure David was Jewish. Why isn't the statue circumcised? Not that I'm suggesting a bris 513 years later.

Dunno, but it must have been a chilly day when Michelangelo sculpted that part...?
