Has Trump done a Putin and committed the US to a never ending war to protect Israel whether it deserves it or not?

How will this end? I do not see how israel can survive.
Will the US send in troops like it did in Iraq or will congess get it's act together and overrule Trump?
If the US does pull out won't it spell the end of the zionist state?
If it comes down to a choice between Taiwan or Israel which one will the US protect?
