Why are people supporting Israel? They’ve been invading Palestine for decades.

@BohemianBabe seriously ? They have their own political party in the Knesset . If every Palestinian would just accept the state of Israel they could become citizens and democratically vote the Jews out . But they refuse to recognize the state of Israel. They prefer to do it their way. How’s that worked out for them in 75 years ?

@AthrillatheHunt That's only the Palestinians who were born in "Israel Proper." The Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank aren't allowed to vote.

Also, whether or not Palestinians recognize the state of Israel is beside the point. In a Democracy, people shouldn't be restricted from voting because of their ancestry or ethnicity. This would be like after America allowed black people the right to vote, they kept restrictions on black people who live in California and New York. Sure, America would still be a Democracy, but not one worth condoning.

@AthrillatheHunt Should they do that in America too? Maybe we shouldn't allow certain ethnic groups to vote based on where they live. Because that is what Israel is doing. They're not denying individual people the right to vote based on opposition to Zionism, though that would be wrong too, they're denying Palestinians the right to vote.

@Ferise1 invade ? Although disproportionate, Israel responded to being attacked by the government of a neighboring country . Israel was the country that was invaded on 10/7. What did Hamas think would happen ? They knew exactly what would happen .

And I can’t remember the last time I saw a Native American go on a killing spree or call for the genocide of ALL US citizens . Let’s keep it apples to apples .

@AthrillatheHunt No, all felons are not allowed to vote, depending on the state. It's not that black felons can't vote, but white felons can. Whereas in Israel, if you live in the West Bank, you can't vote if you're Palestinian, but you can vote if you're Jewish. Again, this would be like saying if you live in California, you can't vote if you're black.

The point is there are some Native Americans who don't recognize the USA government. If we were to do what Israel is doing, we would say Native Americans aren't allowed to vote.
