Does Israel have an argument that it is *not* committing genocide?

Is not a defence of attempting to annihilate a subsection of a race which is what they're doing indiscriminately
Everybody does worse than us, which makes your deliberate misinterpretation of the law of genocide and its requisite descriminate nature all the more damning.
@flipper1966 This response proves my point precisely.
I never used the word genocide because it's clearly not against an entire race.

The fact you either don't get that or want people to believe your definition is exactly what the problem is illustrates that Israel probably defines those terms the same way.
@Picklebobble2 The article concerns the crime of genocide -- nothing else. Israel has been charged by South Africa with genocide -- nothing else. If you weren't talking about genocide, your comment is vague or irrelevant.

@flipper1966 This relates to South Africa's claim. Again, nothing i mentioned involved either that claim nor South Africa's chosen definition of it.
@Picklebobble2 I have to say that your comment is off topic The question I posted concerns genocide and the article by Brett Stephens I posted concerns genocide. But that's fine.

It is clearly targetted against a racial and ethnic group (the Palestinians). Even if it wasn't, its still barbarous in the extreme.
@Burnley123 I would say grievously callous bordering on barberous.
