@Ozymandiaz Some people (brighter than this guy but still wrong) doubt all official figures from the Gaza health ministry because it is 'a Hamas source.'

Hamas does run what nominally passes for a state in Gaza but the health ministry doesn't have a political function. It has leaders and staff who include NGO people and others who were there before Hamas took power.

The main thing is that it's death toll figures have a consistent history of being proven right. More often than not, they slightly understate things because there are a lot of missing people who are probably dead, buried under buildings.
