Beautiful picture...dignified, tough, hard working. They would love some of the comfkrts of modern life but i wonder what they would make of us as people?
@SW-User I guess they would have different values, standards, even different emotions maybe. They are dressed well and would have survived the awful famine that tore through the land 40 years earlier. Who know what stories they would have told their relations or offspring. I doubt if they spoke English either.
By the looks of them, life was hard back then. Do you happen to know how old they were when this photo was taken?
@thedarkside they both look over 90. But I'm not sure. Yes life must been hard then
