I’m okay with it the current regime in Iran has caused decades of suffering, repression, and instability. A regime change is long overdue. Iran should return to a more modern, open society like it had during the days of the Shah, before the revolution turned it into a theocratic dictatorship. The Iranian people deserve freedom, dignity, and a future without fear

No matter where you stand politically, war and bombing always come at a devastating price for ordinary people families, children, and innocent civilians who have nothing to do with the decisions made by those in power. Whether in Tehran, Gaza, or Kyiv, the sound of bombs is trauma, not strategy. The lives lost or shattered by airstrikes can never be justified easily, and every human life deserves dignity and peace, regardless of nationality or politics

At the same time, Iran under the Islamic Republic — since the fall of the Shah in 1979 — has committed countless human rights abuses against its own people. What began as a revolution for freedom quickly turned into a regime built on fear, censorship, and brutality:

Women are forced to obey strict dress codes and face violence for protesting.

Dissidents, journalists, and activists are jailed, tortured, or executed.

LGBTQFNFIEH+ Iranians face extreme persecution, including state-sanctioned violence.

The regime funds proxy wars through groups like Hezbollah and backs instability across the Middle East.

Since 1979, Iran has been a central focus of U.S. foreign policy, across both Democratic and Republican administrations. Here's a bipartisan timeline that shows how deep and tense the relationship has been:

---

Democrats:

Barack Obama (2009–2017)

> “The danger from Iran is grave, it is real, and my goal will be to eliminate this threat.”
— 2008 campaign speech
Obama signed the Iran Nuclear Deal (JCPOA) in 2015 to limit Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief. It was controversial but aimed at diplomacy over conflict.

Joe Biden (2021–present)
Has tried to revive the JCPOA, but talks have stalled due to mistrust and Iran’s uranium enrichment. Meanwhile, Iran continues to fund militant groups and suppress dissent.

---

Republicans:

Ronald Reagan (1981–1989)
Called Iran part of the global threat of extremism. The Iran-Contra scandal revealed secret arms deals with Iran to fund rebels in Nicaragua, tarnishing his legacy.

George W. Bush (2001–2009)

> "Iran is part of an axis of evil, arming to threaten the peace of the world."
— 2002 State of the Union
After 9/11, Bush took a hardline stance, associating Iran with terrorism and nuclear ambitions.

Donald Trump (2017–2021)

> “The Iran deal was one of the worst and most one-sided transactions ever entered into.”
— 2018 announcement withdrawing from JCPOA
Trump imposed “maximum pressure” with crushing sanctions and ordered the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, a top Iranian general, which nearly sparked open war

If the Iranian people want a different government then they should simply kill of the current leaders and replace them. All it takes is just one guy who is willing to do the deed.

As far as other countries attacking Iran and killing its leaders, Iran also has the right to murder their leaders and destroy their infrastructure. Why they are dragging their feet is a mystery.

Why do people think that the only country that should never have nuclear bombs is Iran? Maybe they should work on a death ray weapon. That should stop the whining from the Zionists and the dummies in Washington DC.

Russia, the United States, China, France, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, India, Israel, and North Korea have nuclear weapons. Who whined about that?

@Diotrephes You're asking why Iran shouldn’t have nukes if other countries do. Here's why: Iran is not just any country with nukes — it's a regime that has openly threatened to wipe other nations off the map, funds global terrorism, and violently suppresses its own people.

This isn’t about bias — it’s about behavior and intent. Let’s compare.

Let's look at Iran’s Track Record

1. State-Sponsored Terrorism

Iran has long supported terrorist groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad.

These groups have killed civilians across Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and even Argentina.

2. Calls for Genocide

Iranian leaders have repeatedly threatened Israel’s existence.

> "Israel must be wiped off the map." – Former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

This isn’t defensive rhetoric — it's genocidal language.

3. Brutal Domestic Repression

Thousands of peaceful protesters have been arrested, tortured, or executed — especially after the 2009 Green Movement and again in 2022 following the murder of Mahsa Amini.

Women have been beaten in the streets for not wearing hijab. LGBTQHDBFIE+ people are hanged. Journalists vanish.

4. Nuclear Secrecy & Deception

Iran lied for years about its nuclear program, violating IAEA agreements.

Even under the JCPOA (Iran Deal), Iran hid parts of its program and later ramped up uranium enrichment to near-weapons-grade levels.

Let’s be clear: nuclear weapons are dangerous no matter who has them. But context matters:

U.S., UK, France, India, Israel: All have functioning democracies (some more flawed than others), but they do not call for the annihilation of other countries as official policy.

North Korea is also a major concern — just like Iran — because it is authoritarian, erratic, and threatens nuclear strikes. That's why it's heavily sanctioned and diplomatically isolated.

Giving a theocratic dictatorship like Iran nuclear weapons isn’t balance — it’s inviting nuclear blackmail, escalation, and war in the most unstable region on Earth.

You say “just kill off the leaders.” That’s easier said than done.

Iran is one of the most tightly controlled police states in the world.

The IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) is a massive military-security force that crushes dissent violently.

Protests in 2022 led to hundreds of people killed and thousands arrested, many tortured.

The Iranian people have shown incredible courage, but they are outgunned and under surveillance. They need outside pressure and support — not just dismissive calls for a lone assassin.

There must be regime change, yes — but it has to come with international support, not reckless violence.

The world should work to empower the Iranian people, isolate the regime, and prevent it from ever having the tools to hold the world hostage.

Iran with a nuclear weapon isn't just a balance of power — it’s a loaded gun in the hands of a suicidal ideology. That’s not peace. That’s gambling with global survival. Same way to compare a cop having a gun vs a maniac.

This is why I mentioned the shah in my previous comment.

This isn’t about bias — it’s about behavior and intent. Let’s compare.

The Zionists leaders say that they will gladly kill Jews in other countries to force the Jews to move to Israel. American presidents have routinely engaged in assination of foreign leaders. Both groups are terrorists.

The Zionists have repeatedly stated that they intent to purge the Levant of all non-Jews and to force the Jews in other countries to move there. They will soon attack the other countries in the area. What will you say when they attack Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt?

Israel got its nukes from America.

Iran treats its women like the original Christians treated theirs. If you were a real Christian you would follow what the biblical Christian doctrine says about this issue.

The head of the Iranian security agency could easily kill the Iranian leaders simply by wearing an explosive vest and setting it off in their presence. It's not that big of a deal if he really valued his country over his own life. Even the Nazis tried to kill Hitler. And Brutus did kill Ceasar.

Iran only needs a dozen large nukes and the guts to use them against Israel. That will solve the problem forever and fufill Zephaniah 1:2-3 (ERV) = "2 The Lord says, “I will destroy everything on earth.[a] 3 I will destroy all the people and all the animals. I will destroy the birds in the air and the fish in the sea. I will destroy the evil people and everything that makes them sin. I will remove all people from the earth.” This is what the Lord said."

Don't you want God's will to be done on Earth as it is in heaven?

@Diotrephes It’s clear we’re operating from completely different frameworks—not just in how we view the world, but in how we interpret facts, history, bible and basic morality. Thanks for the chat hope you have a good day
