Despite being back for more than a month it still feels so strange to be home.

It's like I took a break from reality for a few months. I hadn't even realized that my grandpa really died until I saw his picture on the grave in my village, but I knew before I left that I wouldn't see him again as he was getting worse and worse. I passed by the patisserie from which he used to bring us his favourite treat every Saturday for the family meal and I'm glad I still remember the way he was presenting it to us every time.
Even the way I left feels unreal, because it was snowing so much the previous days that I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get to the airport or that the flight would get cancelled; and when I was looking out of the airplane's window everything was white. I think this is probably a once in a lifetime view.
My first week there was calm, I was getting used to everything. After that it became the experience that everyone was talking about. The night that my roommate arrived, I was getting ready to go to a party and she said she thought I was crazy for going out with clothes that weren't warm enough and not even returning back that night. The next weeks I was going out on the weekdays, getting to know random people, I was travelling almost every weekend, I went to dates and was having sex multiple times a week, I was going to University in buildings with beautiful architecture, I was doing laundry at 2:00 am in a basement and I experienced the coldest temperatures in my life.
When I returned to Greece it was warm enough to be considered summer and public transportation was on strike. The time I got home after all this time I threw the toilet paper inside the toilet and flushed it. Now I still haven't seen many of my friends and my only plan for the whole summer is staying in Athens and working at the hospital. Currently I'm trying to treat my otitis and I'm avoiding men because my libido is nonexistent. At least I have chips with oregano here.

Condolences for your grandfather, that must be very hard while you're still in a daze from travelling and all. How is your infection? Are you feeling okay?

@BlueVeins thank you, it happened a while ago so I've come to terms. I'm feeling mostly okay, I couldn't hear well the last days but I went to the doctor and in a few days I will be completely healthy I hope 🖤
