Listening to Lecture 1 of this Peloponnesian War which was the centrepiece of the Classical period, I really need to gradually fill in all the gaps, what happened during this period in the realm of other disciplines, there should be a teaching resources which gathers it all together, so we get war stuff in one paragraph and so and so thinker in the next, who gave a good speech, any good pottery happening at the time, poetry, plays, and anything else, all mixed together, if no such thing has been done yet, maybe that's why I exist, not to just waste time on SW and being fickle with my interests going from all sorts of things without any firm abiding resolve, but this, piecing it all together, but doing it very childishly, in the 19th year of the last 20.

Charlton Griffin's reading of Thucydides from what I've listened to so far is not as good as his reading of Gibbon.
