Guess who's back?

It's me! The vacation in France is over, my bags are unpacked, so I'll be back to my regular programming 😌

And I bought a few bottles of wine to go back in spirit a few times over the next year or two:

fantastique!
Ooo it looks like a fun day! That's a wonderful lake
@greensnacks a wonderful week even 😌 And a wonderful river 😅
peterlee · M
The Loire Valley is beautiful. Remind me why we left the EU?
@peterlee did you? 😯
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@peterlee What has the EU to do with the landsape?
peterlee · M
@ArishMell No potholes, unlike England 🤣
Looks like you had some lovely weather there too. Hope you enjoyed.
@Mindfulness we were very lucky with that indeed. The week before we got there it was 37 degrees and it will be again this week. But the exact days we were there it was a nice 28-30.

Looks awesome.

Great pics. Looks like you had a great time.

I am curious on how you unpack your back? 😬
@Degbeme oops, that was a typo 🤣
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
Pleased that you avoided the fires. It's bad down in the South West. Great photos.
@FreddieUK me too. Bordeaux was also on the shortlist of destinations, but I'm glad we eventually decided on something a little more north.

Question is , what did you buy for me in France and where is it???
@Prettybratbi1tch can I interest you in some belly button lint then?
Prettybratbi1tch · 26-30, F
@NerdyPotato diamonds and pearls or chocolate
@Prettybratbi1tch a pearl necklace? 😳
is cabernet franc the only Loire grape variety you like?
@NerdyPotato they use pinot noir and gamay too

I don't know if you got a chance to try any, but one of the rarest grapes is the white romorantin grown in the small Cour-Cheverny appellation of the Loire

I especially love Cour-Cheverny, Savennieres, Vouvray, Muscadet and white Sancerre when it is very minerally rather than a grapefruit bomb like New Zealand sauvignon blanc
@SnickersDOM I don't think I had any romorantin, but I tasted a lot of sauvignon blanc and chenin blanc. I've heard Sancerre is very good, but that was too far away. (The Loire is quite a stretched out area.) Maybe we'll visit other areas around the Loire some other years because it was quite nice.
@NerdyPotato Domaine Hippolyte Reverdy is a must-try for white Sancerre, if you ever get the chance
Unpacking your backs must've been difficult without Mrs Potatohead to help you... maybe Buzz or Woody gave you a hand instead???

How many backs do you have, though??? Mr Potatohead only has one back...

Is that a plum you're holding???
@HootyTheNightOwl yep, that's a plum! And uhm... I may need to edit this post a bit 🤣
@NerdyPotato It still feels a little early for fruits like plums and blackberries to be in season... I seem to remember them being more autumnal fruits when I was a child... but I was eating blackberries fresh from the bush the other day, too.

I couldn't resist that typo... especially not with the Potatohead imagery that I had in my mind when I read it for the first time... I had a feeling that your English wasn't Englishing for you.
