Ship container…. Then container ship
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Kiesel Unlikely to need that!

The longest sea crossing from England to France is no more than about 100 miles between the ports it would use.

An ordinary house-removals company able to operate to such moves, would likely use one of its lorries and perhaps a French removals company, and one of the regular cross-Channel ferries, would be fine for most households.

If the removals company uses a container that might go by rail between British and French rail/road interchange facilities.

By finding a reputable removals company experienced in such moves, and paying it to handle all the transport arrangements and customs formalities.

I did move to France from Australia. I sold anything large and just took a suitcase of stuff. Stored some boxes with family.
