Remember China is oppressing those poor Uyghurs. Evil China! Only Israel has the right to oppress Muslims.

China does and did oppress the Uyghur. The evidence is overwhelming.

Why they do it is irrelevant because you can't actually punish an entire population for the actions of a few.

And yes the US escalated radicalism but so does China. If putting people in camps work, they wouldn't be still doing it after decades. They are manufacturing their own enemies.
