Do Americans know about Resolution 2758?

In other words: Since 1971, the United Nations has recognized the People's Republic of China as the sole legitimate government representing all of China, including Taiwan.

But Foxnews and CNN somehow convinced us that China is trying to invade a foreign country?

Since when has anyone actually cared what the UN says or does?

Why are foreigner always citing the UN?

I think most Westerns see the UN as a complete joke that's just there to play pretend... but lots of countries straight up ignore them all the time and get away with it, as the UN is basically pointless.

Examples include the UN's criticism of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, an international arrest warrant for Putin issued by a UN-backed court, and Russia's participation in UN discussions.

UN has zero power over any country with any amount of actual World power... and probably little over the ones that don't.

Most Americans think that the world falls off the edge of a cliff along the continental boundaries of the USA. Why would you think that Americans would know anything about Resolution 2758 concerning some far-away foreign place worth attacking for their resources, who's people talk funny?
Just because it was a resolution does not mean it passed a vote.
