How about an alternate route to Panama Canal?

Do we have any other route which could be made functional? Too much China in it.

It's been suggested through Gaza, or within Israel ... i do hope that comes off, as America {if Republican, will NEVER sell out} and Israel will never sell out to anyone, ie CHINA

@DanielsASJ yes, i've heard that as well, but that's been estimated at $250 Billion AND going through Virgin forest, whereas the Israel estimate is $50 Billion, but it'll just be cutting through Desert
