Do you think vegans would still be vegans

vegans wouldn't be vegans anywhere more than 50-100 years ago... they'd either starve or freeze to death

Here's the problem with true Veganism (those who not only refuse meat products, but using animals for any products/byproducts)...

No, being vegan or picking your diet is a luxery of the modern world.

I think that people will eat whatever it takes to survive. Choosing what you are able to eat is a luxury. But either way, I don't think they had much access to meat, anyways, so it probably wouldn't have even mattered for a lot of people.

Well that's a famine so probably not. But if it helps any, I don't think people were eating much of anything back then.

No. People are going to eat when not having a choice. I'm glad I live in a society where I get to choose what I put in my body.
