That is an uninformed and unhelpful comment. How do you propose that he come legally? Do you know something that the immigration lawyer does not know? It's the LEGAL ways that have made it impossible.

@bigjohndl: that's rude , a lot of Americans live here also , anyone can come all they need is a work permit to legally live here , my son in law is a American plus we have free health care lol but here a adult is 18 not 21 like the states so he wouldn't be considered " abandoned " lol

You sound like a nice person. Why would you not sponsor him and let him live with you so he can have a home in Canada.

@Linda: Yes, I have had a couple of businesses in Canada. No longer because of the rules and limitations. The tax rate was over double what we paid here and the taxes on employees were quite high. We actually re-located both businesses to the states because the cost of doing business here was half.

@bigjohndl: Regardless someone's income is 30000 a year or 100000 a year everyone has the same medical care we are talking medical well that's good you moved them home many Americans here have businesses and don't have a problem maybe yours wasn't making enough money thanks for that info I mean I only live in canada

@Linda: Easy to say when you think you are getting "free" stuff. You also get what you pay for. Why do so many Canadians come to the US for surgery? I have great health insurance because I buy what I need and I do not look for someone else to take care of it. You read about Obamacare which was a fiasco because they HOPED a lot of younger people and welfare receipients would buy into it. Did not happen because they know that hospitals cannot turn down those without insurance. So they go to the emergency room when they have a cold or a splinter in their finger. FOR FREE. Obamacare tried to force everyone to buy into the programs.

I gave each of my employees a raise of what they we were paying on our company policy plus 15% one time, and told them to go to the marketplace for insurance because it saved my company a lot of money. Some found better deals for them, some dropped insurance totally, and some got dropped when Insurance companies pulled out of the marketplace.

I am not ignorant about health insurance. Studied it real hard and made what turned out to be the best decision for my company that I could.

We can agree to disagree, but when you start throwing "ignorance" around, I will bow out of the conversation.
