It's a truly awful situation. We can all only hope the Canadians can extinguish these fires soon - I wonder if the US fire and forestry services can help them? (If not already.)
@ArishMell that's going to take a lot of rain. The fires have spread from British Columbia. Across five provinces into Northwestern Ontario. Some are crossing borders to and from northern Minnesota.
we've had bad years here too on the southwest coast. sometimes the smoke comes from the interior of my province, other times from cali, oregon and washington. one summer we never saw the sun.
Unfortunately we can`t control the wind and that wind is a nemesis when it comes to controlling them. Our fire crews are spread really thin with the amount of fires going on in Ontario at the moment. (108 fires)
