Wearing Hats
Everyone around here wears either a ball cap, a turban or nothing on their head. I bought a Cowboy hat from Texas. Love this hat but I notice people looking at me and it makes me a little self conscious.
Like, I am wearing a light flashing shirt that says LOOK AT ME.
I tell myself it doesn't bother me, but there are signs it bothers other people, and that bothers me, not sure why..
When I walk past some people, they normally look at me and say hello, but when I have my cowboy hat on, they stare at the ground or look at something across the street as they pass.
So I bought a top hat from Pakistan.. This thing is super cool, fits perfect and I think it looks good on me, but that is even more of a LAM hat.
Recently bought an Aussie Chiller from Australia. I was surprised how cheap it was to ship it to Canada ($18), pretty sure they subsidized that. Came in about 2 weeks too, impressive. Great hat.
When I wear this one, people look at me again, say hello. I have more people talking to me than ever before, however when I wear it to the dog park, with all the friends I know there, they are back to staring at their feet.
It is odd how people behave with such things.
I wonder what they would say if I wore a Turban? I wonder if I would get stabbed. ;)
Maybe I will try the top hat at the dog park tonight just to see the reaction.
