Greenland has a lot of rare earth deposits that are unmined currently. And America has made a virtue of destroying its trade relationships with China, the largest supplier. America has discovered its advances in tech require those rare earths for the next step in computing and the like.
But its all about to backfire on America. Other NATO members are linking arms (literally) and preparing to unlink economies from America like Canada is doing as well as sourcing future military contracts from non US supplied, costing America tens of Billions in one of is most lucrative export industries. @ArtieKat In this case I am only collating what has already been factually reported (as opposed to opinion) Predicting how America will react is getting more difficult, as Trumps reactions are illogical in the extreme and so little of what he says has any connection to what happens..But one thing is clear. Everyone is going to end up worse off apart from a few rich people. Interesting, possibly connected side point. Several of Americas largest privately owned corporations are about to launch IPOs this year. Whats the connection? Previous IPO history suggests a cash grab by the owners (Including Musks "Space X") before the bum falls out of their value. Which would happen if America tanked.. Now THATS a prediction...😷

@Ohplease47 I dont wish what is going to happen on anyone. I should be clear on that. All the Americans I know personally are lovely people. But many have a semi religious belief in their country that is uncommon in other nations. "My country, right or wrong" doesnt exist most places. So they will be confused, upset and look for someone else to blame when fan and fertiliser meet..😷

Greenland would be like yet another floating aircraft carrier from which the USA could threaten all commercial ships passing through. They need control of ", international waters" to control trade and enforce their own blockades and sanctions against their economic targets.

@whowasthatmaskedman my bad! Islands don't actually float. That's a non floating aircraft carrier. So, there's no way out after a mistake like that! My friends always told me back in the USA it's the way I talk that killed slobovan milosivic, the ecosystem and their buzz.
Canada has fewer people than California and could not repel a US invasion either
