Why does Rump want Greenland?
Notice how Rump is pulling out of every initiative to stop Global Warming? Notice how the US is running low on water and the fires and excessive heat each year.
He knows that soon Canada will become a haven and the US will become a danger zone from the heat.
Greenland is currently frozen, but in 30 years it will be completely thawed. A wonderful place to own land. He won't be around to see it, but perhaps his grand kids will.
Taking Canada now would not look good politically since we are still too friendly. He needs a war to get it, he needs Canada to be an enemy to the US, and taking Greenland will achieve that.
Once the fighting starts between Canada and US, then he is free to take over Canada.
Perhaps Greenland should join Canada before the fighting begins. That would take Rump's cards off the table.
