Good god, another embarrassing Canadian. Why don't you know enough to spray Pam non-stick cooking spray on your car's windshield and side windows before you leave it outside for the night in winter?
ALWAYS carry a can of Pam under the driver's seat to give the windshield a quick anti-icing spray when you get out of the car before parking it for the night which lasts indefinitely until you hit it full-blast with the -40 windshield washer fluid, then it's game over.
