Lol .. sooo political strife isn't just a US thing??
Count me cheering team Western. No interest to return to eastern Canada after several visits. Nothing wrong with it .. just "been there done that". I am really looking forward to further exploring western Canada.
My friend who is Canadian wrote this book. Pretty timely but especially interesting about Canada its provinces and though fiction is eerily similar to the East/west province feelings.
Alberta is temporarily the richest province. It wasn't so before oil was developed and it won't be so in 40 years when its depleted. When westerners call for separation its the few rich controlling their foolish mouths; not caring if they betray all Canadians.
@Nobody Alberta has been supporting the east longer than you've been alive well the east had been fighting against using Alberta resources and yet taking the revenue also longer than you've been alive
@tenente His book says he is a central planning advocate of the Vanguard/ Blackrock sort. A net zero fanatic and DEI backer who says that people will have to suffer to fix the environment, breaking metaphorical eggs to make an omelet, 75% of the world's oil and ng needs to stay in the ground.
The future attributing world wide starvation and a catastrophic collapse of Canada's economy doesn't concern him apparently. 🙄

Then like the gate sentrys at Troy coughing up excuses about appearances and virtue, the "conspiracy theorists" who sounded the alarm were slammed and made fun of.
Troy was the most widely known society that (when it made the least sense).
Looking the gift horse in the mouth is in some cases the most justifiable sanity there is. Well don't ever accuse me of saying the media is the voice of reason.
