Why is Canada euthanising the poor?

According to the most read article in Spectator Magazine 2022, since last year, Canadian law, in all its majesty, has allowed both the rich as well as the poor to kill themselves if they are too poor to continue living with dignity. In fact, the ever-generous Canadian state will even pay for their deaths. What it will not do is spend money to allow them to live instead of killing themselves.

To answer your question, they're not.

Your answer is you’re ignorant of the fact that they are . @Ynotisay

@Mathers Nah. See, what I did, is look in to the author, the examples shared in the story and then the realities of MAID. Which is why I said what I said. So maybe that's the difference between you and I. I prefer reality. You, I'm assuming, prefer 'enemies' to blame for...whatever.

Sorry mate. You’re just completely wrong@Ynotisay

@Mathers Couple of things. I'm not wrong. I try and respect myself enough to learn about things before I pop off. And "allowing" poor people to kill themselves? What? You do see how that makes no sense, right? Particularly with the safety nets provided by Canada. But here's what jumps out at me. "Mate." So you're not even Canadian? Just looking for grievance? I know there must be a reason but I just don't get that. Well, maybe where you live they legally punish people who kill themselves. Which is pretty close to a million a year around the globe. No legal euthanasia required. That must be wild.

The problem is that there are not safety nets. You’re defending a system where there are not safety nets. Never mind liberals will always blindly defend liberals@Ynotisay

@Ynotisay what safety nets? Two women in Canada *did* resort to assisted suicide because they couldn't find housing that would enable them to live without being severely impeded by their allergies all the time.

The OP is saying they made that choice as a result of not getting accommodation that would help their condition...which is apparently what they said too.
