@Mathers Not everything but when prices for daily goods, food, medicine... rise due to unnecessary competition and people wanting to earn even more money poverty spreads. I'm neither left nor right and not very political in general but it seems to me like a systemic issue.
I'm primarily defending assisted suicide since I believe it's important.

@PrincessOfHell The funny thing is, in the U.S. it’s the right wingers who don’t want their taxes used to help those who are struggling financially, and yet they would also never allow assisted suicide as an option. They prohibit that as a personal choice even for those who are already terminally ill and would be using it to avoid a painful, lingering death.

@Mathers That’s strange. Here it’s a right that some people want. It was voted into my state after several terminally ill patients had to move to Oregon, where it’s legal for those who are physically ill and aren’t going to recover. I actually agree with you in that I’m very uncomfortable with the idea of using physician-assisted suicide where public assistance could help someone get back on their feet.

@bijouxbroussard From what I hear and read US right wing christian conservatives are insane hypocrites. When they talk about freedom they only mean freedom for white wealthy christians and only according to their belief and worldview.

@Mathers I'm not sure that narrative is accurate. Aiding poor people who are in pain to end their life financially does not equal euthanising the poor. I'll read into it more.
