When I will do what
So I have been thinking about my moving date.. It is important that I decide on it because I need to make big decisions like resigning and not renewing my apartment lease and other shit that I need to take care of...
My initial plan was April.. But I have been thinking, April may not be the best time since I know that this is when work slows down specifically in the firms where I would have my best shot, and then it also slows down generally in the summer allover the place... Which means that I'd be making the move around slack time when no one is looking to hire.. And while I have made my peace with not having a job for a while (i know it will probably drive me crazy and make me depressed because I am not used to that) I still thought that I should choose the timing wisely, so as to shorten that period as much as possible.
YET, I was really surprised when I realised that deep down I did not want to postpone the move... I really thought that I'd be happy to (logically) reach the conclusion that it is best to postpone the move a couple of months because I have been stressing about the fact that it is getting closer, but I was not happy with a postponment, and turns out that I did not really want it. I think I want to get done with this move, because I am soooooooo tired of waiting, planning, and thinking...
Still... I have issues that are open ended which I will need to wait a little and see how they will go, and whether it is worth postponing a couple of months or not. Something like my braces, I really need to take them off before I go there! Such a hassle to look for another doctor there and probably more costly too.. Some other shit too is open ended and I might realise that it is best to postpone a couple of months...
But if it were only about the timing in relation to the job market in my profession, I would probably make my move in April anyway, EVEN THOUGH I know that most hiring happens in the fall in these firms. I was planning to make some career change too, and then timing is not exactly critical since my work won't be seasonal... but hey, I will probably target first where my experience lies, and I can make career change a bit later...
So yea... things are still open ended, probably till the year end... I will be less stressed and happier once I have reached a clear decision and I know exactly when I will do what.
Now I am out to sea, because I need some phuking peace.....
