Getting things done finally
So the minute I arrived in Canada, I should have gotten something called a SIN number which is important if you want to do pretty much anything in Canada, like work or live for that matter.. But I didn't get a chance, I arrived in Toronto around the weekend, went to the wrong center the second day I was there, and then it was weekend... After that, I headed to Niagaras, which I doubt had a center, but I didn't even look, it was more of trip and fun.. then I left to Quebec, which is another province, I knew it was probably okay to get it from another province because it is a federal thing, not province related, but I still didn't want to, because I will live in Ontario, and I am just weird like that!
Yesterday I figured I HAVE TO GET IT TODAY. Enough, I get anxious when I postpone important stuff, and I really need to have this number before leaving Canada, because it makes it easier for me to apply for jobs before I come back, which is a benefit people who make their move in one go don't really have.
I walked for an hour a half (I am sure I could have taken the bus, but. for some reason, I just walk don't try to figure out the transportation).. It was a bit tiring because it was hot, and around noon, it felt like i walked for three hours ... but my walk led me to the Rideau canal which I wanted to see anyway, so that was cool... and there was more breeze around the water..
Then I finally reached the center, I found a long line, I waited for 45 mins until realised it is almost 4 pm, and that they will close, so I went to ask the security guy about it, it is when I realised I was waiting in the wrong line!!!! I am soooo dumb, always like this. He told me I have 15 mins, and directed me to the right room... which was empty, no lines, and I got it done in 5 minutes!!! The guy working there was so friendly and nice. I was so disoriented and looking for my address and phone number details for like 10 minutes, and he kept assuring me that no rush, but I was stressed because I knew it was around closure time.
I liked how he knew that my name was composed of my first name, father's, grandfather... all the way till you reach Adam himself! 🤷♀️ and that it was not a middle name what came after my name.. but I guess working at his job, he had to know that, yet I appreciated that he took the time to acknowledge that he knew, nevertheless, he will still include it under middle name (well I do the same when I fill out any forms, so I was not surprised 🤷♀️)...
I was happy I finally got this silly task done, and I went back by walk, but it felt somewhat shorter walk, maybe because the weather was cooler.. and that was it for me really, I just wanted to relax in my bed, I slept too early, but I didn't even wake up much at night, I just kept sleeping, it is how much I was tired and a bit annoyed...
